Michael Kanteena

About the Artist

Michael was born in Arlington, California and received his BA in Fine Arts from Eastern New Mexico University. He was named in "Southwest Art" magazine as one of the top 500 emerging Indian artists. He has received the popular Wingspread Collector's Guide 1998 Award of Excellence. In addition to these awards, he has placed 1st at the Gallup Intertribal Ceremonial and won the prestigious Judge's Choice at the Heard Museum Indian Artists Show.

Michael's other interests include antiques, hunting, and working with Cornerstone. He is married and has two children.
